"Who was it? My mom." Rust groaned mockingly. "Seems to always try to get my attention at the worst times. And I can't exactly tell her I'm talking to 14 year old girls without her getting some weird idea, can I?" he tried another crack. "Then again, this is the woman who told me when I was younger that 'Moms' all sign a contract when their baby is born which allows them to embarrass them whenever they feel like it.'" Grinning at the memory, he gave another short laugh. "Yeah, guess I'm a momma's boy, huh?"
At her acceptance at his offer though? His grin lit up like a pinball machine with the high score.
"Fantastic! Lemme just go run and grab it for ya!" he said enthusiastically. He was already moving to stand up.

“My, my. Alo-chan, your new hair style looks positively adorable.”
A sweet voice interrupted the two. A girl in an elaborate white and black lolita dress stood in the door way, a basket in the crook of her arm. While Kikime spoke to Alora, her red eyes were fixed on the young man who had just risen to his feet. She smiled to him as she walked passed. “Who is this? Some gallant, helpful white knight?” her words poked fun at Rust. “Where are my manners, please pardon me. I am Kikime Jinja. A pleasure to meet you.” she said, looking over her shoulder at him.
Who the fuck did this guy think he was? Touching her things. Playing with her toy?! The very fact he was in here made her want to snap his legs all over and sew his mouth shut.
Despite her thoughts, a pleasant smile stayed on her powdered face as she sat next to Alora. “The nurse said you arms will be well enough to come out of casts soon.” she said patting her on the knee. “Won't that be nice?” she said gently before looking at the basket, completely ignoring Rust purposely. “I've brought a few things for you today. Some strawberry ice cream – we can let it melt into liquid. If you're up to it, I even made you some pink lemonade to try!” she exclaimed. “Theres a few things I would like to do today too. Could I take your measurements Alo-chan? I'm making a big surprise for you, and I need them.” she winked secretively. “In fact, I have the first part with me.” she dug into the basket and pulled out a black velvet, lacy necklace. “Taadaa ~ !” she beamed and leaned forward to put it around the younger girls neck.
This wasn't exactly an act of kindness. It was more like a kid putting a collar around a new puppy. Ever since Secernia had made Alora trust Kikime completely, she had to admit, she found it intoxicating. Alora would hang onto her every word and was ever so grateful for Kikime saving her from those nasty boys. Now Kikime wanted to do nothing more than dress Alora up like a doll, to look like a near replica of her. Though of course...Alora would never be as cute as her.
Now, there was the matter of this boy. She seemed to zone out for a moment. To her, the world around her went completely dark except for colored strings going back and forth between the three. Her eye were focused on one in particular. A sky blue string tied to Alora and the boy. Friendship. She shook her head and came back to reality.
That had infuriated Kikime. Alora was hers, and only Kikime would have her trust and idolization. “I must say Alora, you have disappointed your Onee-San today.” she gave a soft sigh and frowned. “You can't be letting strangers into see you when you're not well. Especially not people like him.” she suppressed a large grin. “Don't you know he just wants his turn?” she looked almost sympathetically at the girl. Her words rang similarly to words the rapists had said as the pushed each other out of the way for a turn. Surely the recording of it all was embedded deep down in Alora's memory.

Alora gave a small sheepish smile at Rust's joke about mothers signing contracts. "There are worse things than loving your parents..." She said finally. His smile made her feel slightly elated though, and it was great to know that she might actually have a new friend. He seemed to be just like she had been before. Just naive. He just didn't understand, that's all.
She was still slightly frightened by how easily and with so much confidence he stood up to go get the CD. Her face brightened once more whenever she saw Kikime's shadow coming from down the hall.
She gave a sigh of relief. Kikime was here. Everything was alright now. She complimented her hairstyle and Alora gave her a small smile, "Thank you, Kikime, I made it..." She said, sounding kind of excited.
She blinked at the news about her casts. "R-really? Yes... that would be nice..." She said, looking down at her arms. Stupid, worthless things that they were at the moment.
Whenever Kikime came to sit next to her, Alora had a smile begin on her face, but the wound in her cheek made it too difficult to fully do so. "Oh... I love ice-cream..." She said, "And lemonade too..." Alora loved being around Kikime. She was so good to her and did all these lovely things. She was lucky to have a big sister like her.
"My measurements? Of course..." She said, eyes lighting up. Whenever Kikime mentioned having the first part with her, she looked over to where she was pulling things from curiously, breathing in at seeing the black velvet lacy necklace. "Woow, that's beautiful!" She leaned forward too so that she might tie it at the back of her neck for her.
Alora looked down at it, mesmerized, "And you made this yourself? Wow, you're so talented!!" She said, "Thank you so much!" She said, suddenly feeling bright. She felt safe with Kikime around, nearly like her old self.
Then, Kikime changed her tone with a soft sigh and a frown. She said she'd disappointed her. "What?" Alora's happiness dropped as well, as she explained that she shouldn't let people in. Then she added the last part, and Alora just froze.
But he was just naive wasn't he? Surely he... A shudder went down Alora's back and she remembered their voices. She grimaced and it made her cheek bleed a little out of the corner of the scab. The nightmare of the swing haunted her. Their voices repeated themselves in her mind. She moved closer to Kikime, her protector.
"No... Please Kikime, you'll keep me safe, won't you?" She snuggled into her shoulder, "You won't let anyone in, right? I won't disappoint you again I promise. I won't." She promised, finding herself shaking and crying against Kikime's shoulder. "No more turns..."

Hearing the new voice, Rust turned his head round and was greeted by the sight of the shorter girl. As she entered the room, Rust smiled and gave a polite nod at her, though a chill ran down his spine.
The hell? What was that?
Shrugging it off, he laughed slightly embarrassed at Kikime's initial assessment.
"I'm no knight, miss. Just someone who wanted to help out, that's all. Couldn't leave a woman in need alone and without help, could I? That'd be in bad taste."
He nodded as she introduced herself.
"Oh, so you're the famous Kikime I've been hearing about," Rust replied. "S'good you got back here, Top Girl here's been worried sick about you, hoping you'd be okay and coming back. Glad to know you're hear looking after her though. Seriously, if there's anything Alora needs right now, it's a good friend like you."
...this feeling is way too weird right now..
Staying silent as the girls played dress up and gossiped, Rust silently wondered why the hell he felt so iffy about Kikime wandering in. She hadn't exactly done anything just yet and Alora had spoken incredibly highly of her. So, what was this weird bad feeling?
Probably nothing...might be worth to ignore i-Wait a sec, did she just say disappointed?
Mouth falling open in shock, Rust watched as Kikime basically shattered Alora's new confidence with but one sentence. And compared him to...
"Woah, hold up there!" he interjected. "Miss Kikime, I appreciate that you're only looking out for Alora, but I can swear on all that's good and holy, I would never take advantage of someone in Alora's state. I'm not like those animals who did this to her, I swear!"
His words faltered as he saw Alora literally break down in tears and cling to Kikime like she was the last mother in the entire world. Constantly saying how she wouldn't disappoint her. Rust could only stare, horrified.
"What...the hell is this...?"

Kikime watched Rust as he spoke about being no knight. She smiled, as always, but there was something not right about it.”Couldn't leave her be and rushed right in, hm? Heehee.” she covered her mouth with the back of her hand. “It's a good thing that you didn't trigger some form of Post Traumatic Stress. Poor Alo-chan has been through so much already. I don't think I could bare it if all the good work done with her was undone.”
So Alora was talking highly of her? She grinned big. Good. It was nice to be seen as the good, popular and helpful senior student. That's right. A good friend like me.
She turned her focus back to Alora and her wig. “Yes! You did such a good job with the style and everything. We'll have to get some nice accessories for it too.” she smiled, patting the the girls leg. “We'll leave the goodies until later ok? I'd feel bad that I have none to offer the good gentleman here.” she explained.
“Yes, measurements!” she clapped her hands together joyfully. The praise at the necklace fed the gothic lolita's ego quite nicely. “I'm so glad you like it. It's nothing too fancy, but, I think simple things look good on you. You're so pretty that you don't need to much ornamental accessories.” she told the younger girl. She had to admit. The necklace did look beautiful. A perfect collar for a new pet. Next, they would need a leash. And perhaps Cerny will let her have her own basket and bowl for food and water so she can live with us. she thought happily to herself. “Oh just you wait Alo-chan! I'm going to make you a nice pretty dress for when you get out of those casts.” she promised.
Then, the fun began.
Kikime held back a smile as Alora looked shattered and scared one again. Poison was a favorite of Kikime's. Chemicals were always good to use, but words could be such an incredibly dangerous toxin themselves. She held the younger girl close and shh'ed her as she cried. “I know it was only this one time Alo-chan. Don't worry. Everyone makes mistakes.” she cooed to her, rocking her in her arms. “I won't let anyone harm you. I'll destroy them before I let that happen.” there was an eerie bit of truth in her voice.
The boy didn't seem to find it funny either. Kikime rose to her feet as Rust spoke. She had a frown on her face, but her eyes seemed to agree with what he was saying. No, she didn't believe this boy was a horrible person. But it was funny to make Alora believe he was. “How can we know for sure? I mean, it's not like someone admits to being a rapist anyway.”
Her eyes were narrowed to slits, though there was a strange glitter of malicious delight to them. All this was just hilarious to her! All fun and games. Even when this guy was gone, she'd continue to poison the young girl against him.
I will make it so you never have a chance at winning her trust.
“I think you should leave.” she said pulling a weapon from the foldings of her dress. An incredibly large, ornate pair of black scissors was now being held in Rusts face. “Walk out the door boy. And don't ever come near my Alo-chan again.” she smiled. “It would be a shame if I had to mess up that handsome face for such a silly reason.”

“How can we know for sure? I mean, it's not like someone admits to being a rapist anyway.”"WHAT?!" The single word reverberated around the room. Rust didn't even get angry, he just stared slack-jawed at the accusation that was thrown his way. After a few seconds of utterly stunned silence, Rust stood up from the bed and was instantly halted by the scissors nearly getting jammed into his eye. He slowly looked at Kikime. The too sweet smile. Her warning ringing clear in his ears. What the hell...?Soon, the confusion gave way to anger and Rust's nostrils flared slightly before he gave another look at Alora, trying to give her a look of innocence and trying to show he wasn't like the others. It didn't work. He sighed and looked down, defeated. "Alright. Fine." he answered curtly, emotions a volcano under his skin. Standing up fully and grabbing his phone, he walked out of the Dorm and back to his own... ... ...only to pass by a minute later tossing a thin plastic object onto Alora's bed, not hard enough to be considered an attack, but enough to show it was no fluke. Rust, meanwhile, had disappeared, fuming.
