Rags listened to what Rust was saying and his expression sort of faded, by the end of it all. He laughed a little, "Yeah, diamond. I guess it would make sense her not wanting to say anything... But did she never mention Will? or Lucas?" He shook his head.
"Never mentioned me once did she not? She's a harpy, and you should keep away from her anyway. She sucks you dry, and not in the good way. She has problems that she just lets fester. She's an explosion waiting to happen." He shook his head again.
He chewed on the side of his mouth for a moment and then added, "Still though... She does remember me. No way she could have forgotten. No way." He looked kind of spaced out for a minute, "What the hell were you doing in a forest anyway?" He asked suspiciously.

Rust just offered a helpless shrug at his first question.
"Like I said, I'm not going to pry. That's her business, Rags. I have a lot of respect for the woman so she'll tell me when she wants to."
His next bit however had him clench his fist a little.
"Oi! Dickhead! Last I checked, she's been nothing but a good friend to me, whereas you've slammed me with my own door, insulted my beer and then hit on my mom. And she's an explosion waiting to happen? Don't honestly care about that. I owe her one anyway and if she explodes, I'll be right there in the fallout zone, wanting to help. Ain't no way I'm going to keep away from a good friend, especially if they need me."
Rags seemed to have this weird quality where he was fine to get on with, but with one comment, he could make you want to punch his face in.
"Maybe it's cause you act like this all the goddamn time that she doesn't want to talk to you. Ever think about that, Einstein?"
He chuckled sardonically as Rags questioned his motives.
"We made out like there's no tomorrow." he answered sarcastically, before continuing. "Seriously man, she was just showing me around. You get any more protective of her and people are gonna start thinking you're insecure as all hell."

Rags grimaced as his attitude changed. "I knew her for years, dude. I was her best friend, there's no way you could act more of a friend than I could. I've seen her rock bottom, dude." His eyebrows furrowed and he stepped up to Rust once again, "so don't act like you're here to be all friendsy and superior, and don't you dare act like it was my fault." His tone was scarily serious, so much so that it actually got quieter as he looked the boy right in the eyes.
He gave a sigh and turned around from the guy. "Look," He said, calming himself down, "I'm sure you mean well, my man, but don't fuck with me." He said, glancing back towards him for the last part. He picked his gun off the floor, "Can you at least tell me where she is?"

Rust just stared right back, although mentally, it was another story.
The hell? This guy is serious... Okay, maybe I fucked up there a bit but god damn, he didn't give me enough info to go on. Still, if he was her best friend, why the hell does he not know where Ace is now and why the hell did Ace not breathe a word about him to me? This has bad news written all over it.
Now for the million pound question.
Do I get involved in this?
The mechanic shrugged, trying not to look affected by Rags' shift in demeanour.
"I don't know. She didn't tell me." he answered honestly. "And I think it's high time you got out of here anyway. I've got work to do with that wall and I think we both should just get out of this conversation and cool off before one of us writes a check with his mouth that his ass can't cash."
He left the subtle indication that it would most likely be Rags doing that. Rust didn't really care. He was more than concerned about Ace now because something about this guy didn't sit right. He indicated the busted door.
"On your bike."

Rags clenched his jaw when he said he didn't know where she was. He felt that he was lying, but it didn't matter. He'd find her, it was just a matter of time. He glared at Rust for a moment whenever he spoke of leaving and cooling off before a fight broke out.
"Probably for the best." He agreed easily, pocketing his gun after turning back on the safety. He rubbed at the marijuana leaf tattoo on his neck as though in thought, "Nice meeting ya neighbor." He laughed, as though trying to lighten the mood. He shook his head and went to the door.
"Hey," He said turning his head before he left, "Whenever you see her, let her know where I am." And then he turned the corner and was out of sight.
