Kikime loved Soto South Beach. She loved the soft white sand. She loved the volatile waves. She loved the seclusion. This place was far from the school. Most of it was blocked from sight by the forest. The waves and the cries of gulls helped drowned out all other noises. Truly, this was one of the better outdoor places at Solstice.
Today, it was just what she had needed to let off some steam, relax and forget about the recent problems in her life. Cerni had recently upset her greatly. That bleach had tasted awful in her tea. Had she really expected her not to catch on? Alora was making her quite happy. The little idiot followed Kikime around like a puppy dog. She thought she was amazing!! Kikime adored that. And she adored kicking puppies. Then there was a certain boy. Rust. Oooh how Kikime wanted to peel off his face and wear it next Halloween. He thought it was ok to just waltz in and out of her life and play with her toys?! He had another thing coming...
She stared into the water, watching as a dark shape finished devouring it's latest meal. The demon had no real shape. It seemed to be made of many tentacles. Its mouth was a circle of nothing but thousands of razor sharp needles. A human hand was reaching up out of, still trying to claw its way to the surface. It brought a smile to her face. She had to focus more on this stuff. Breaking people. Physically, emotionally. Fuck, it didn't matter. Kikime had stress she needed to dump.
"Demo...what do i do?" she sighed, looking up into the blue, sunny sky. As if sensing her unease, a large inky black tentacle rose from the water and laid itself on her lap. She petted it with a small smile appearing on her doll-like face. "Oh? Are you still hungry?"

There were a few powers that Creda had seen in her life, especially when the one He had was the most powerful she had ever seen.
Not even His, however, could compare to what she had just now observed.
An abomination...and she plays with it as if it's a toy. A pet. This girl... Why do I feel so odd just gazing upon her like this? It's as if she's just wrong somehow...
Not having seen the poor unfortunate victim being dragged below, Creda walked out onto the beach, wary but unafraid. Her wings were still sealed in their tattoos, not on display just yet.
"You realise that thing you are conversing with is demonic, right? It's one of the most unholy things I have ever had the misfortune to come across." she called out, still quite a ways from Kikime. She was devoted to her cause, not an idiot.
Subtly, she moved her foot back, still on edge around this girl. Creda had actually worn proper martial arts pants today, a fact she was secretly thanking Fate for guiding her correctly. This had a confrontation written all over it. With her regular tank top on, emphasizing her body's looks without really meaning to, she fixed Kikime with a stare.
"What is it?"

Kikime continued petting the creatures tentacle wondering if there was any possibility she could lure Secernia down to the waters edge. The tentacle moves up stroking her face a little as her crimson eyes were glazed over in thought. All that red hair would look stunning swirling about as she was dragged under water. Caught up in her day dream, the voice made Kikime jump a little. The tentacle whipped back and splashed back into the water violently. It didn't like who spoke those words.
Looking over her shoulder, Kikime glanced over the girl standing a little bit away from her. Tall, pretty with dark hair almost as nice as her own and such interesting white eyes. The words made her smile. "Did i know i'm playing with a demon?" She parroted the girl sliding down off the rocks, her black lolita dress just a little damp from where the demon had laid its tentacle. "Of course i did. I assure you, I am perfectly fine. We were just having a spot of lunch. I was in no danger."
Unholy? Interesting choice of words...Who is this chick? Some little shrine maiden?
She took a few steps towards the girl, sizing her up and giggled. "What was it? Oh I cant pronounce its name. Not in human tongue. Lets just leave it as an 'oni-san no mizu'... a water demon." Distrust and caution seemed to surround the girl. It made Kikime tilt her head. Did she look threatening today? No. No she looked cute. Kikime always made sure she looked cute. A thin smile spread across her face. "So serious looking." she cooed softly to the girl. "Theres nothing to worry about. If you wish... I could introduce you both. It'll be fun."

As soon as Kikime revealed she was willingly working with a demon, Creda's eyes widened slightly before narrowing as a threat. The whole demeanour presented was completely wrong. To have control over something like that at such a young age...
It's far too much like Him...only He is worthy of a power like that. But then, why do I feel like this, staring at her now?
A shiver of cold ran down her spine as she restlessly shifted her shoulders a little. Wariness still apparent on her face, Creda moved one foot back as Kikime began to walk closer. The girl may have been younger and looked entirely innocent, but the strange aura surrounding her couldn't be denied.
Let Fate be my guide today... I pray that it smiles favourably.
Ah, so that was the feeling. Slight fear
She was scared of this strange girl. And she had no idea why.
"I will decline the invitation, thank you." Creda responded curtly, looking ready to act instantly should the need arise. "And I think you and I have separate ideas on what should be worried about."
Dear God... Why can't I stop my heart beating like this?!

Kikime eyes glittered happily as she noticed this girl's shoulder's move restlessly. She kept taking a step forward for every step back the other girl took. It was like she was stalking a small scared animal. "Onee-San, daijobu desu ka?" she asked, her eyes fixed on Creda. "You look, a little... unsettled." There were butterflies starting to flutter in her stomach. "There's no need to be nervous. I wont bite. Im just a pretty little girl." she assured her. "Kikime is my name."
She was close enough now to spot something on Creda that more than likely sparked off the demons angry retreat to the sea. "My, my... what a pretty necklace." she stared at it with a sort of fascination.
Oh he really didn't like you. A devout girl, are we? Following such good, decent ways.
That entire notion was laughable. Though, since the demon retreated, Kikime made a mental note to perhaps, not think of her as a pathetic coward clutching at crucifixes. She must have had some ace card hidden up her sleeve.
"Oh?" at the older girls decline of her invitation, Kikime couldn't help but sneer a little. "I'm sure we do." she agreed, daring to stalk just a little closer. "Im curious. What is it that makes you worry? Id love to pick your brain..."
Right out of your skull and step on it...I wonder how gooey it is.

Japanese. If I hadn't found that out from the facial features, that definitely seals it.
"Unsettled is...a strong term to use, but I will admit, I am slightly wary. An abomination such as the one you were just with tends to have that effect. And now I appear to be conversing with it's... summoner? Creator? Regardless, you have strayed from God's path into the foulest of clutches."
Slightly wary... That's a bold statement to make... And there is nothing JUST pretty about you, girl. Please guide me well, O Lord...
Kikime had revealed her name, jolting Creda from her thoughts. Another chill ran down her spine.
"Creda Shields." she curtly replied, not taking her eyes off the small girl. However, now she stood her ground. She was away from the water's edge and that....THING couldn't grab her from her, she reckoned.
And there's always my Gift...
The girl talking about her necklace had Creda unconsciously reaching up and grasping it, the smooth gold and black material offering her some modicum of comfort. The white eyed girl could almost feel her guardian by her side, feeling immensely better for it. Taking a deep breath, she steadied herself and ignored the probe at her jewellery.
"I'm sure you would. And few things make me worry. Why bother with worrying? Fate's path is all there is and what happens, happens. We're powerless to stop it, so we might as well accept and follow. There is no need to worry as Fate has relieved us of this burden."
If she steps any closer, I'll have to summon my wings...

"I'm not sure if i should be insulted or not." kikime admitted as Creda spoke about her concerns. "I admit, he isn't the nicest looking thing, nor the most powerful but, abomination is a bit strong to use for my friend over there. And if you think he's an abomination what do you think of me? I wonder..." she mused. She put a hand to her chest and gave a small scoff. "Please. If I was their creator, they would be far cuter. They are merely friends. I open a doorway for them, and the come to play. Whatever games I want." she smiled.
"Ah, so you are a shrine maiden. How admirable." God was mentioned. Kikime noticed that. Actually, she was quite sure there was a God. Demons existed, therefore at very least, the possibility of God couldn't be ruled out. "I assure you, I did not stray from any path. I make my own. And they belong to me." the thoughts of being puppets by one of the demons was insulting to her. She was above them all! Both creatures divine and wicked.
'Shields'? As in to protect? Talk about strong meaning in names. You are a Shield of God? I'll break through you.
The look of ease that came over her face as she grabbed onto the necklace made Kikime clench her fists. Ohhh how she wanted to do nothing more now than to snatch it from her, like taking a cuddle blanket from a child. She grinned at the thought.
Then came the best part. "Fate?" Kikime repeated, looking at her wide eyes for a moment. The girl stopped in surprise. She bit down on her lip to stop herself from exploding with laughter. "I can't even say that's stupid! But it's just too funny!!"
You and I...we were ironically destined to meet.
"Creda Shields..." she shook her head back and forth, laughter making her voice shake a little. "Tell me, are you familiar with Japanese mythos?" she questioned raising a brow. "Do you know about the Red Strings of Fate?"

(click to listen!) SCHING! The wings unfurled to their full length, imposing and intimidating. The feathers bristled as Creda got herself ready. She controlled them. Demons. Making them her own to mould in the way she sees fit.
...Unforgivable in the eyes of God."I am no Shrine Maiden. I am but God's servant. His chosen against beings such as yourself." The girl intoned, fully taken by religious fervour and purpose. "You dare defy Him? You say you make your own path, but instead you fall into the blackest of pits. I would almost feel sorry for you if you were not so far fallen already." Creda gave no reaction to Kikime laughing at her ideals. It seems many did on this island. "The red strings of fate...of course." the winged girl answered, not backing down and in fact inching slightly closer to Kikime. "An invisible string tied around people's ankles, indicating they were destined to meet. Be it love, help...or other factors." The wings flapped slightly before Creda moved her leg and stomped the floor, slipping into her martial arts stance. The wings flared once again. "It seems were have been tied by said String, Kikime." the angel intoned. "How fortunate. I can perform God's work here and now by eliminating you. This world's too pure to be taken by the likes of your blackened heart. This world is reserved for another. And my goal is to help Him achieve that. You are an obstacle in my path, Summoner. You have no idea what you have wrought."

Well, things had certainly escalated rather quickly! Kikime covered her mouth with the back of her hand, though it did little good to hide the toothy grin that was starting to split across her face. "Oh ho~ I stand before an honest to goodness angel!...Or wait..." she sneered. "You're nothing but a cheap knock off, neeee?" Her stance widened, and she seemed to lean forward rather eagerly. Kikime's heart was begining to beat quickly now, but it wasn't fear that was getting it pumping. Oh no. This was excitement.
"I have no care for you or your God's purpose or grand plans. There is only MY PLAN. My playhouse. My carnival...but you're welcome to it." she snorted. "Keep your pity for someone who needs it. I've not fallen into any pit. I float above it... but I will push every single person I see fit into it! HAHAHA!!" she laughed out at Creda. The other girls passion was catchy.
Not offended about the little laughter at Fate are we?
"You get it a lot i imagine...the laughter." Kikime's smile continue to curl on her lips, looking more and more twisted with every passing moment. "Not many people here believe in it." she shook her head. "But you and i know differently." she chuckled, a dark look in her eyes. "Oh yes. Fate certainly exists..."
She paused to let Creda speak about the Red Strings. The lolita's head bobbed up and down and she gave a small applaud. "Very good!!" she reached to her side and a giant pair of ornate black scissors was drawn, having been concealed under the folding of her elaborate clothing. "Though, I think it's rather unfortunate...for you." she giggled as she opened out the scissors as Creda flapped her wings. "You think Fate has it all planned out for you. Id agree to a point." she giggled and giggled. "Fate is by no means absolute. Not for me. I cut and tie the strings of Fate as i please. I can SHAPE Fate itself!"
"And oh, the stories i could tell you." she considered telling her a few. The face of Alora and the otaku group flashed up in her mind and she cackled loudly, putting a hand up to her face. Now that twist of Fate had been hilarious! "KYAHAHAHA!!"
She smiled wolfishly as Creda finished up her little do-gooder's spiel. "You will surely fail Creda. You see, if i cannot exist in this world, well, that's the problem. I can't hand it over to someone who would have me wiped out. It can't go to someone who doesn't like my little pranks. No way! The world would be far to vanilla that way."
"Come on you wannabe angel. You're wings look like the could use some cutting." she beckoned for the older girl to come at her.

Creda grit her teeth as Kikime called her a "cheap knock off". That particular insult had stung. It wormed her way deep into her heart, that while she was gifted by God, she was not among his chosen personal servants. It burned. That heat, however, was moulded and shaped until she directed the anger like a laser beam at the girl in front of her. She said she controlled Fate. Implied that she was better than her guardian. How foolish. "Fate has no master. Least of all YOU!" (click to listen!) The wings flapped once more and a short burst of razor sharp feathers shot out like darts, aimed right for the young demon controlling girl. I can't afford to lose. Too much is at stake and this girl is far FAR too dangerous to His ambition... God help me."Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle..." she began to pray as she fought.

"Oh my, my..." Kikime raised her brows in fake surprise as Creda gave a small snarl. "What a hideous face. Kowaiiii ~" she said, drawing out her 'scary' in a sarcastic, high pitched voice. Now there was real hatred and rage beginning to build in her white eyes. The lolita met that intense gaze with a mocking one of her own. Kikime had found a button, and she was going to push it. "That's right Shield of God. You are trash compared to the true angels. Haha!! I kinda feel sorry for you! Look how disappointed you are! Did you honestly think you could compare to one?!"
"Eh?" Kikime raised a brow, a crooked smile on her face. "Oh if only you knew..." Her smile dropped as feathers suddenly darted for her, looking as sharp as knives. Her eyes widened as she gave a small shriek, jumping to one side to try avoid them.
She paused for a moment. There was a stinging pain across one of her arms. She looked down and saw skin and blood through a torn patch of her sleeve. "You ripped my dress...you bitch!" she shot a glare at the angel-girl. "RAAAAGH!"
Picking up her scissors, Kikime sprinted forward, laughing as she heard the prayer. "Angel Michale! You did a wonderful job protecting Satoko-chan when i broke her legs!! Angel Gabrielle! You did a wonderful job of stopping me destroying her her fated love!" She laughed as she got closer, more recent images of fun coming to her mind. ALL ANGELS! You did a wonderful job stopping me having twisted Alora's fate so she was fucked into insanity! HAHAHAAAHA " She swung the scissors towards Creda.
"What can i do to you?! Please, Kami-Sama! Let me have fun with Creda! Let me think of a fun game to play! Kami-Sama...show her that she is Fated to MY WILL!!"

More needles of anger forced their way into Creda's heart at Kikime's taunting. She almost flew at the girl in a blind rage until she realised the damage done by her feathers. Her Swords of The Father. Momentarily, she closed her eyes with an almost serene smile.
"I do not require to be a true angel to carry out His work." she replied. "All I need to be is worthy enough in Fate's eyes to be the victor of this battle." Opening her white eyes, she gave a small aloof smirk as the demonic girl charged her with the scissors. "Maybe your punishment has not yet befallen you, Kikime. Maybe your punishment comes in the form of myself? After all, why would true angels lower themselves to associate with you?"
The utter madness of the girl made her swipe clumsy and easily dodged. Swaying in and out like water, Creda ducked inside Kikime's guard.
Foolish girl
Wings flaring again, she span, almost cartwheeling with no hands, her feet coming up underneath Kikime's chin. Flapping a few times to regain balance in the air, Creda then uncoiled like a spring, shooting downwards with a kick to the floor.

"My punishment?! Ha!" the thought of it was laughable. "I don't planned on being punished at all! Especially not by you! Your little angel friends are right to stay away from me though... I know quite a few 'friends' who would just love the opportunity to get their claws...or tentacle things...on them." The thought kind of thrilled Kikime. Having an ace up her sleeve that would make even celestial beings too fearful to confront her.
Creda had been correct seeing how Kikime's prayers of insanity left her attack being rushed and sloppy. She missed completely and whirled around to hit her again with the weapon when she saw stars. She was aware of being lifted into the air a little, and her chin throbbing. She didnt have much time to piece together what happened. She thought she was back on the ground and then was slammed into again. Her body rolled a little away from Creda, before she curled up.
Whuts going on? her thoughts were dazed as she laid in the sand, the scissors flown far from her hands. Her eyes came back into focus. "Urrnnh!" he gut hurt so bad! There was a metallic taste in her mouth. She spit. Blood. She fixed a glare on Creda. "Now...I lay thee down to sleep..." she started to babble as she got to her feet. Things were too bright!! She punched the sides of her own head. Darkness! she need darkness.
She stood up suddenly, the world fading out around her. Creda stood glowing softly in front of her, but Kikime was looking at the threads of fate that were tied to her body. "How interesting." she smiled reaching out and seemingly stroking the air to her left. "Such a strong bond you have with your mysterious 'Him'." Her vision returned to normal, the glazed look replaced by something more focused. She grinned. "By the way. That hurt." She whipped her hand towards Creda and the scissors went flying from its resting place towards the girls right shoulder.

Creda raised an eyebrow at the inane babbling, before it's twin raised also at the sight of the girl beating in the side of her own head.
Insanity. The least of what you deserve, girl.
Then she seemingly stroked...the air itself? Within seconds of this action, Creda's mind was filled with images.
"An angel does not deserve the life you have lead. She deserves a life where she is worshipped by all. I can help you to get to that life. However, I will need your help.
I am but a sword in this unseen war, Creda. Will you be my shield?"
The winged girl shook her head to clear it.
"What...what was that?!" she asked, slightly startled, but holding her stance firm and trying to compose herself. Unfortunately, it was too late. The scissors slammed into her shoulder, cutting deep. With a small yelp, she reached up and yanked them out, blood dribbling from the wound instantly. Breathing through gritted teeth, she tossed the scissors out far into the nearby sea.
Wordlessly, her wings flapped again, sending another wave of steel rain Kikime's way.

Kikime grinned at Creda's startled voice after she poked at the thread. "You saw stuff huh?" Some did, some didn't. It must be weird, Kikime had decided long ago to herself. Having someone poke and pull at your relationship ties with people. Kikime's face lit up as her scissors met their target. "Hey, at least it wasn't your heart right?" she laughed as the other girl yanked it out.
"That my darling, is me seeing how you were Fated to meet that person." she explained with a happy sigh. Her eyes narrowed when she saw another wave of feather's racing to meet her. She looked towards the water, making a decision in a split second.
There was a shrill shrieking noise as the black tentacle demon was pulled from the safety of the water and over to take the blow for Kikime just in time. She felt a few feathers whistle past her ears. "That...is REALLY annoying." she growled at Creda.
"Oh my god... could you have been any weaker?!" The demon was screeching in agony, its tentacles lashing out viciously as it bled. Kikime tossed it towards Creda."I WILL win this..." she promised herself with a determined smile. She let the world fade out around her again. Where was that stupid string.
"Ahhh ~" she stopped just in front of it. "I'd quite while i was ahead Creda. I will take all you believe in a tear it to pieces..." she warned. "And to prove im not kidding." she tugged the thread of fate that bound Creda to 'Him' hard. "I will snap it into. Your 'Fate' of meeting this person. Knowing them. Loving them, or whatever. Will disappear in an instant.." The smile Kikime wore was demonic as she stared over at Creda. "Kihahahaha! HAAHAHAH! Make you're choice! Come here and lick my boots or ill destroy your fate with this person."
She yanked the thread again, giggling as she waited to see what would happen.

....she can DO that?!
Kikime's threat level went up several notches in Creda's book with that statement. More images of herself growing up with her Guardian flitted through her mind as Kikime yanked on the string.
FOCUS!
The voice in her mind wasn't hers. It was masculine and extremely familiar.
Seeing the demon fly towards her, a writhing black mess of tendrils, Creda shook the cobwebs from her mind and span, wings outstretched. With a yell and the sound flesh tearing, the wings tore through the unholy abomination like a hot knife through butter, shredding away at the innards of the demon like a cheesegrater. With a last surge of energy and a final cry of anger, the wings emerged from the back of the creature and both halves collapsed into a puddle of gore, writhing slightly in death throes on the sand. With a flap, the blood was cleared from her wings, shining once again in their full glory.
More images assaulted her mind as Kikime gave her the ultimatum. She gasped, a hand instinctively going to her forehead, trying to block them out.
"No!"
The word shocked her... But it was true. She couldn't afford to lose her devotion to Him. It was EVERYTHING she had!
"No! Don't!"
You're being weak...
"What do you want?!"
You're not worthy... not worthy to lose him...

Kikime hadn't seen her demon being torn apart, but she could certainly smell it when it was dead. It made her nose crinkle up. Disgusting. If some of them weren't so powerful, Kikime would only summon them to squish them like insects. Maybe rip off their wings. I wonder if that would work with her? When she spared the thing a glance, she noticed the hand that had been desperately trying to claw its way out from before, poking out of one of the guts. She giggled. Looks like you got the last laugh...sorta.
As Creda gasped, Kikime fixed her attention back onto the winged girl, and smiled big. "Yes....Yesyesyesyesyes YES!" Kikime cried out happily, her eyes shimmering with malicious glee. "I win ~" she purred, stretching the thread out and twisting it in her hands until it was pulled tight, and then would slacken her grip, before pulling it tight again.
"So, what do you think now, Creda?" she asked, perhaps a little too smugly. "I am the one who can control your Fate. Its not as linear as you thought it was, hm? Kiheheheheh~ "
Her words made her stop and frown. What did she want? That was good question! She got the upper hand. She was a crazed dog who actually caught the freaking car. Now what did she want to do with it? Well, first thing first. Kikime was getting payback for that throw down in the beginning. That had hurt a lot. "Stand still. You cant use your wings. Or your arms or legs...you cant MOVE." She moved forward, looking like she was holding onto nothing but air, but she gave the occasional tug of the string to assure Creda, this fate line was still in her hands.
She walked cautiously close to the girl, wondering if she's honor the bargain. The first thing she was going to do was smack her across the face. Scratch at her eyes. Punch her face until her nose broke... the violent list went on.

More and more images of life filled her mind and Creda was trying in vain to try and block it out. What was she DOING? Fate would not have her lose here! Not after so long as it's servant! She couldn't lose! Not here, not now! She still had be His sword and shield!
Creda, focus. This girl is not worthy to beat you. You can be victorious still.
The words went right through her mind. It had been a different memory, dealing with one of the members of the PCG, the woman who had first picked her up from the orphanage. Her guardian had said those words to her after she had been hit across the face in the struggle, but they applied here and now. And just like that, a plan was quickly formed in her analytical brain.
First things first, compliance.
Creda knelt, allowing Kikime to get closer, glaring at the girl whilst she folded her wings in, not de-summoning them just yet.
A few more steps closer...

Kikime enjoyed watching the other girl immensely as she played with the string. How someone could get so pathetically loyal as to want to cling onto another person like this was just so weak. It made things so easy!
As she knelt down before her, Kikime smiled. Not her usual grin of insanity. This one seemed to be arrogant and cruel as he looked down at the stupid girl before her. It was never her intention to take over the world, or have servants. That would be too boring for her. However, the dominance she had over these things, how she could manipulate them like her own marionettes, that did please her to no end. And who would have thought someone who had seemed so strong willed as this religious girl would bow so easil--
Wait.
Kikime suddenly stopped a little a ways from Creda, her eyes twitching a little. "You clever, clever girl." she said pointing at her accusingly. "A servant of God would never give up like this..." she muttered more to herself than Creda. Kikime was insane, but that didn't mean she was an idiot.
She gripped the string in her hand tight. If only she had some idea were her scissors was. She;d have it in her hand and cut this thread then and there. However, that bitch flung it out to the ocean, out of her sight. She couldn't use her telekinesis to retrieve it.
"But that's ok." Kikime smiled as her eyes briefly scanned the beach. "I believe that many people were stoned as punishment in biblical times..." True it still happened today, but this seemed more fitting. With a flex of her finger, a rock roughly the size of a baseball rose from the ground and shot towards Creda. Another followed it, and another. "Did you think i was stupid?! Im curious! What were you wanting to do?"

Oh no...
Her act of playing possum had been rumbled. And now Kikime wasn't coming any closer. Creda closed her eyes, trying to desperately hold on to her devotion to her Guardian.
I'm sorry...I'm not an unbreakable shield after all...
A second passed. Two. Three. It was then Creda realised.
The scissors... She needs the scissors!
With the sound of wind chimes, her wings enveloped her in a protective ball, the rocks banging off with the shrill sound of stone meeting metal. Waiting until the assault paused, she then quickly unfurled, one lone solitary feather screaming like a missile right for Kikime's head. Even if it missed, it'd go straight through the tree behind her head and even further beyond.
She took the opportunity and tried to fly off. This wasn't worth it and if Kikime shattered her relationship with her guardian, she literally had no purpose.
What a terrifying power...

She had been trying to trick her! Kikime sneered down as Creda looked a little defeated when she stopped moving closer. While her body didn't wilt, something in the other girl seemed to weaken for a moment, realizing her defeat. What the true consequences of playing with Kikime meant.
If only i had those FUCKING scissors. Everything would have gone perfectly.
Along with being dangerous projectiles, it seemed the wings also were a rather good defense system. Because just burying you under rocks would be just too easy huh? As Kikime looked around for a larger rock to use, she noticed the fast movement of Creda's latest feather darting towards her just in the nick of time.
She hadn't intended to make it look like she dodged easily. She simply tilted her head to one side, trying to decide what to do, a serious frown etched on her face and it whizzed past her ear. She could hear the wind whistle as it past. With a glance back her eye twitched at the damage it had done to a nearby tree. It went right through! Kikime giggled with something between excitement and nervous. "Sugoi!" she exclaimed.
When she looked back around, Creda looked like she was about to take off. I dont think so. Kikime scowled, her eyes scanning the ground for anything else to use. She grinned as she noted all the metallic feathers around in the sand. Those would do. She tested one, sending it darting towards Creda. It was light enough. Excellent.
Spreading her arms, a bunch of feathers rose up and she sent them raining down towards Creda with an abrupt wave of her hand. They didn't have to kill her. They just needed to hit her enough so the would ground her. "I'm going to tear you up so bad..." she swore, stalking forward, another fleet of feathers at the ready. "Then you're going to return to you master and tell Him if he wishes to inherit the world, he and I have to have a loooong discussion on some rules." she sent the other wave down on her.

The one feather caught her right through the injured shoulder and like a stone, Creda dropped, collapsing in the sand. She barely got her wings to cover her to shield her from the waves of metallic feathers shot her way. Screwing her eyes shut, the winged girl tried in vain to prise the feather out of her should, but it was not to be.
The raven haired girl felt the barrage stop and slowly unshielded herself. She needed to get away and she needed to do it NOW! Trying her best, she raised up on her knees, steadying her breath and clutching her shoulder, trying to stem the bloodflow.
"So close... Can't give in now..." she breathed, before her eyes opened wide.
She could feel Kikime practically breathing down her neck.

What a spectacular hit! Kikime's eyes widened and she let out a happy cry as she saw where the one feather hit. Right in that wound. She gathered back the feathers that Creda deflected with her wings. She gestured for them to gently come to her, and had them stick to the front of her like a shield. With the sun shining behind her, Kikime was now a black silhouette, with two almost glowing red eyes peering down at the girl on her knees. Kikime's voice came out in an eerie whisper as she leaned over the girls shoulder and hissed into her ear. Her eyes were large and a vicious, but currently hidden grin was stretched across her face. She let the other girl pull the feather from her wound. It gave her the perfect opportunity to gouge her own fingers in deep and twist it around the wound. She pulled another feather from her own temporary armor, and brought it up before plunging it down, ready to slash all over Creda's bare back with it. "I...will... breeeak you..." she muttered feverishly to the winged girl, her voice cracking with laughter.

Stifling the cry of pain that threatened to rip from her throat, Creda bit her lip so hard she drew blood. She glared upwards at the girl who was so savagely gouging her fingers into her shoulder. The winged girl had felt worse pain, but this was still white hot to her nerves.
She wouldn't show it in front of this monster.
"Do your worst, whore."
The feather came down, slashing through Creda's back and the raven haired girl again tried her best to stifle the pain. She was losing blood and fast. Creda needed a way out and needed it NOW!
"Break me?...You...CAN'T!"
Running on fumes and desperation, Creda launched her head backwards, fully intent on slamming it into Kikime's face and with a surge of adrenaline, tried her best to take flight again, high into the air and as fast as she could. The pain dulled by her second wind, she charged full throttle for the cover of the forest.

"AHAHAHAhahaha~!" Kikime cackled merrily as her finger twisted inside the wound. It was warm and squishy as she continued to dig her finger in. The girl didn't scream at all, but Kikime could see it was hurting her. Her body was trembling from the pain. She wasn't numb. "You know if you screamed, it would probably feel a little better." Kikime suggested out of the kindness of her heart.
W-whore?
Kikime's eye twitched weakly. What was it with people calling her that!? Did Secernia start a trend without telling her?! As she thought this, she slammed the razor sharp feather right between Creda's shoulder blades and tore down sharply.
It had been enough to distract Kikime long enough for Creda to surprise her with the reverse headbutt. While it didnt really do any damage to the girl, thanks to the cloak of feathers, it had been enough to surprise her enough to jump back from Creda. Her hand had reached out trying to make sure Creda couldnt run off, but, only managed to tear a nice chunk of hair out before stumbling back onto her ass.
"GRrrr....RAH!!" Kikime clenched her fists and spread out her arms, making herself levitate off the sand and move quickly towards her. She made other people fly the whole time, why shouldnt she? "Kihehe~ You cant run Shield of God!" She called out. "Ill follow you to the forest, to the sky... DONT THINK YOURE SAFE!"
One thing made her stop. Her scissors. "Fuck..." she couldn't risk loosing them to the sea with the strong currents here. She glared after the girl, hoping that maybe Creda would collapse before she could do much else. "FALL! FALLFALLFAAAALL!" she shouted after her, sending the feathers that coated her arms after Creda in desperation.
