Personality: Sidra is slightly loud and tends not to think before she talks, or shouts rather. She is inquisitive and has no conception of personal space or stranger danger. Though Sidra can at times, be obnoxious and rough, her heart is big and in the proper place. She tries to do what she thinks is right she though sometimes doesn’t always do what is best. Sidra is also kind of an idiot, and at times acts much to young for her age and tends to misinterpret things easily. Sidra doesn’t mean any harm but she sometimes gets physical when she is upset or just hyper, and by physical I mean she WILL hit you. She doesn’t mean to cause pain; it’s just a strange urge she some times gets.
Appearance: Sidra has a small stature, being only barely 5 (more like 4’’ and 5/8ths ‘) feet tall and 100 lbs. Sidra has short shaggy black hair that comes down just at her jaw and chin. Sidra looks black eyes with irises that go almost to the edges of her eyes but still have a small ring of white. In contrast to her black eyes and hair she has light cream-colored skin and a nice complexion, some times in even florescent light makes her look like she’s glowing. Though she isn’t exactly the most beautiful girl… actually, she resembles a fourteen-year-old boy at first glance; Sidra has a bit of an androgynous identity. Sidra tends to have a more covered up since of style. Though you will see her shoulders and neck, she tends to like to wear oversized long-sleeved shirts or jackets and long pants. Her color choices involve black grey and white, only her pajamas are randomly bright colors
History: Sidra can’t remember much about her parents or the life before living with her grandmother, all she can recall are fast moving blurry images, some times they are happy moments with two faceless people and her and her younger brother Jubil having a picnic somewhere at some point of time, yet other times they are violent and dark, making Sidra scream with terror and drip in sweat. Sidra knows something bad happened to her parents, something involving a nightmare and Jubil. That something left Sidra and Jubil orphaned and alone till their grandparents picked them up and brought them to her old rickety house.
Their grandparents were kind and caring and gave Sidra and Jubil the best that they could offer. Their grandfather was a motorcycle and vintage car fanatic and taught Sidra and Jubil how to pull apart and put together all kinds of cars and motorcycles. Sidra’s favorite was a 1940 BSA WM20 in which she named Zoran after the Norse god of speed. With her grandmother, Sidra learned how to cook and clean and help with her younger brother, she also learned to have her own opinion and to stand up for what she believes in. Sidra and Jubil lived many happy years with their grandparents until their grandmother accidently fell in the kitchen and broke her hip. When her grandmother was in the hospital Sidra was talking to a young boy who had a terminal illness, the boy wished he were healthy so that he could play catch with his dad. This was when Sidra found out she could literally grant peoples wishes, so Sidra though that she could wish her grandmother better again but nothing seemed to work. Their Grandmother then later died in the hospital due to an infection. Their grandfather was devastated but continued on for his grandchildren, he also learned that both of his grandchildren had special gifts, one could grant wishes while the other only brought “bad luck”
With this new knowledge Sidra and her grandfather talked out going to a place that her and Jubil could be safe and learn how to control their powers. “Especially Jubil! Its like the X-men except I don’t think they have a crazy jet plain or a bald man…” was her argument to her grandfather. Her grandfather sent them on their way to Solstice Academy in the Bermuda triangle only with the promise that they would come home for every holiday and call him everyday.
