The twin islands known as the De Leon Islands are located at the very center of the Bermuda Triangle and are said to be "Atlantis," though there is no proof. The island is mostly unknown to the world, except to those with powers. It makes the perfect place for the school to hone those powers that also gives assylumn to those that need to escape, this place is called Solstice Academy.
Solstice Academy seems to be new, but the feel of it could be hundreds of years old. This feeling is not by the architecture, but the aura of age that surrounds it. It is located on the center of the western island known as Soto Island.
Soto Island houses Solstice Academy as is the larger of the two islands, reaching about 5 miles in diameter. It has virtually no plant-life except for landscaping near the school and the man-made forest. It is south-west to it's sister island, Perdu Island.
Perdu Island reaches about 3 miles in diameter. It is undeveloped and wild. On the eastern half is a large beach. On the western half is a thick jungle. Rumor has it that the jungle has ruins, though it is not confirmed. Upon entering the jungle there is a creepy feeling that you are always being watched.
The wildlife of the De Leon Islands are very small in quantity and size. It is the migrating route for many birds and butterflies. The only other wildlife are called "Leats." Leats are small amphibians that seem to be a cross breed between a fish and with frog legs and shark teeth, however have human eyes. They can be colorful or fairly dull and are scaly. Their origin is unknown. Their DNA mostly resembles human more than it resembles fish, leading people to believe their ancestors are the rumored Atlanteons. Their diet are small fish and clams. They are mainly aquatic, though they can go onto dry land for about a minute. They can stumble slowly on two legs, but they rarely do so. They go to land strictly to hunt clams. They are of no danger to humans and usually flee at the sight of anything larger than them, for they are the size of a toy-dog.
